Handmade, Durable

I put hand to clay every day to make durable pieces meant to be your daily driver. My work is crafted to become a staple of your day and will last a lifetime with proper care. Each piece is hand-thrown or hand-built with dark brown stoneware clay (stoneware is a strong, hard, nonporous clay fired above 2,000°F). For colorful pieces, a layer of white slip is applied allowing for contrast. Decals are used for decoration via iron image transfers and colorful dead-stock commercial decals. Pieces are fired up to four times as color and decals are added and are mid-range Cone 6 stoneware.

Microwave Safe

All pieces are microwave safe other than those with gold. Pieces with gold are fired with decals that may contain metal.

Dishwasher Safe

Everything is dishwasher safe, although, if there are metallic gold elements we recommend hand washing as they may fade over time.

Food Safe

All glaze colorants contain no lead or cadmium. Decals are limited to exteriors and edges as per the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Temperature Shock

All pieces are microwave safe and freezer safe — but not freezer to microwave safe. Luckily thermal shock is easily avoidable! So please don’t put icy cold ceramics directly into the microwave or pour hot liquids into a chilled piece to avoid thermal shock.
